Cons: It's a little clunky, doesn't seal but since the GPS is waterproof it doesn't have to. For the size I would have liked to have seen a pocket/slot for extra batteries. It's a little tricky getting the GPS off of it to change batteries or to just use without the case.Pros: The GPS is held very secure inside the case and will not accidentally fall out when opened. See comment about getting it out above. If you are wearing a vest, harness, or something to clip the included carabiner to, it is quite handy, especially at mid to upper chest level, some may find it usable at waist level. The GPS is secured inside and when you unfasten the lid it just flops open with the GPS horizontal giving you a good view of it. In this position it will tend to swing from side to side, but with a little practice the GPS can be used hands free while walking. It is easy to close and fasten. It protects the GPS from bumps and scratches. It will free-up a pocket and make your GPS easy to get at, but you will have to unclip the carabiner to hand it to someone else or set down for a stationary reading.Best uses are search and rescue, forrest/field work like trail blazing, Not good for geocaching in populated areas as it sticks out like a sore thumb and attracts attention. (One person I met on a trail thought it was a heart monitor or something. LOL) Not good for cycling. Its best use is off-road and out of civilization.
